Dr Andrew Yeoman joins PSC Support's Scientific Review Committee

We are delighted to announce that Dr Andrew Yeoman has joined PSC Support's Scientific Review Committee. Dr Yeoman has a longstanding relationship with PSC Support as a medical advisor in our Expert Panel. He has also provided invaluable support to the charity in the past by reviewing PSC Support funding applications from researchers, as an 'external' expert.
Why is the Scientific Review Committee important?
PSC Support funds PSC research and receives funding applications from researchers around the world each year. The charity must decide which research projects to fund and the Scientific Review Committee (SRC) plays an important role here.
"Our Scientific Review Committee is responsible for evaluating and appraising these research grant applications. It comprises experts from the scientific community and people who have PSC," said Martine Walmsley, PSC Support's Head of Research Strategy. "Appointing Dr Yeoman strengthens this already outstanding group and allow PSC Support to continue to fund only the best PSC research."
The work of our SRC means that each research application we receive can have a fair and expert assessment of its quality and value. After each assessment, the SRC provides a report to PSC Support's Board of Trustees to help them make the final decision and ensure charity funding is used effectively.
